The British Aerospace Hawk, the Red Arrows' display aircraft, has been in service with the RAF since 1976. It has established a reputation as a fast jet trainer and its success is reflected in sales to 16 customers worldwide.

Most recently, in November 1996, Australia and Qatar selected the Hawk to meet the fighter trainer requirements of their respective armed forces.

The Hawk operates in extreme environments that range from Finland in the Arctic to Saudi Arabia in the Middle East and Malaysia in the Tropics. It claims the title of the world's most successful fast jet trainer.
