Raytheon Aircraft planned to resume certification flight testing of the Hawker 4000 this week. The company halted function and reliability testing, the final step before certification, soon after it began in December, to install additional lightning protection in the composite-fuselage business jet at the insistence of the US Federal Aviation Administration. The delay will not impact deliveries this year, says Raytheon, which delivered 141 business jets, 114 turboprops and 99 piston-powered aircraft last year.
