Honeywell has been selected by Boeing to supply the lower lobe cargo lights for the new 787 Dreamliner. "This is the fifth 787 award to Honeywell," says Honeywell's Tom Eller, product line director, electronics and lighting. "Boeing previously named Honeywell to provide the Navigation (NAV) package, Crew Information System/Management System (CIS/MS) and flight control electronics for the aircraft." Together, the systems represent a potential total value in excess of $2.8 billion for Honeywell over the life of the 787 programme.
