Hounding out
The news hounds froth at the mouth as they salivate over the battle of words between European and American manufacturers; the spin doctors rave about the benefit of partnerships. We simply say how nice it was to witness the chance meeting of two of the most powerful executives at Farnborough 2000.And it was all smiles for EADS joint-chairman Rainer Hertrich and Boeing's chairman Phil Condit as they bumped into each other on a verandah overlooking the show. Uncle just wonders, who blinked first?
