Augsburg-based MT Aerospace  is showcasing its skills as a high-precision technology company.

MT produces around 10% of the hardware for the Ariane 5 launcher, supplies components for the Japanese HTV space transport vehicle and is developing a new propellant tank for the ESA Alphasat satellite platform.

The company is also responsible for parts of the ground facilities at the new Soyuz launch facility in Kourou, French Guiana.

MT is also leading the development of lightweight ceramic matrix composite (CMC) materials that can withstand extreme temperatures, from minus 250 to 1,800 degrees Celsius, as required by space re-entry technology.
