N2130

Having flown its first indigenous regional airliner, the N250, in August 1995, Indonesian manufacturer IPTN announced plans to develop a regional jet-powered airliner which will be offered in a family of models seating from 80 to 130 passengers, and with 3,700km range.

The aircraft is expected to require an investment of some $2 billion, with income from the N250 put towards its development. IPTN has apparently already committed some $1.6 billion to the programme. Additional funds will be raised by a public share offering. IPTN intends to produce the first aircraft by 2002, and deliver the first customer aircraft by 2004.

Three variants are proposed, seating 80, 100 and 130 passengers, and powered by two 81.9kN-class turbofans.
