Iranian investigators have received both flight recorders from the HESA IrAn-140 turboprop which crashed during departure from Tehran.
The operator, Sepahan Airlines, says the cockpit-voice and flight-data recorders have been “delivered” by specialists to the Iranian authorities.
A government committee has received initial information about the carrier and the aircraft’s history, says the Iranian Civil Aviation Organisation.
It states that it has ordered a suspension of flights by the Antonov An-140. HESA produces the type under licence and this locally-built version is known as the IrAn-140.
Iranian minister for roads and urban development Abbas Ahmad Akhoundi says that the investigation committee has sought information from engine and flight-standards specialists.
Representatives of the aircraft design company and its manufacturer are also being invited to participate in the wake of the 10 August crash.
