Japan Airlines (JAL) and British Airways (BA) will expand their codeshare agreement on Tokyo-London Heathrow routes.

As part of the expansion, the airlines will offer joint fares on selected routes starting 1 October.

JAL and BA operate a total of 19 weekly flights between Tokyo and London Heathrow.

Under the new agreement, BA will place its code on daily JAL-operated flights from Tokyo Narita to London Heathrow, while JAL will place its code on 12 times weekly BA-operated flights from London Heathrow to Narita and Haneda.

Under the existing agreement, the airlines codeshare on a total of 23 routes that connect London to other European cities, and on eight routes between Tokyo Narita and seven domestic and international destinations.
