Japan Airlines (JAL) Group carrier Japan Air Commuter (JAC) is expected to place an order with Bombardier this week for five additional Dash 8 Q400s. Initial paperwork was signed with the Canadian manufacturer earlier this month. JAC already operates three of the large- turboprop type and has two more on order. It plans to use the additional Q400s to replace some of its remaining NAMC YS-11s.
