Sir - With reference to the letter "Frustration of seeking a job" (Flight International, 8-14 March, P64), such frustration is not exclusive to the fixed-wing world.
I started to apply for a new job as an experienced helicopter pilot at the end of 1994. I sent applications all over the world. While 75% of European applications were acknowledged, only 25% of other overseas companies responded.
I agree that it would be nice to receive an answer, even, a negative one. It would also be nice to be treated with the same respect as when there is a demand for pilots.
