Kenya Airways to codeshare with Air Namibia

SkyTeam-linked carrier Kenya Airways is to codeshare with fellow African operator Air Namibia.

Kenya Airways will place its 'KQ' code on Air Namibia flights from Johannesburg and Lusaka to Windhoek, while Air Namibia will place its 'SW' code on Kenya Airways flights from Lusaka and Johannesburg to Nairobi.

"By facilitating convenient travel for our passengers, this codeshare agreement will enable us to make a contribution towards spurring sustainable development in Africa," says Kenya Airways chief operating officer Mbuvi Ngunze.

Air Namibia brings to 20 the number of codeshare arrangements that Kenya Airways has signed with international airlines.
