Lambert Aircraft has begun ground testing its Mission M212 all-composite kitplane at its Wevelgem airfield, Belgium base. Flight testing of the 150hp (110kW) four-seat M212 is due to begin next month, says Lambert Aircraft founder and M212 designer Filip Lambert.
Production is expected to begin next year and will mark the first time in decades that a new aircraft factory has been built in Belgium for the purpose of manufacturing an indigenous design, Lambert says. Key markets for the Textron Lycoming O-320E2D-powered aircraft will be France, Scandinavia and the UK, he says.
