Manx Airlines, the Isle of Man's independent carrier for almost 20 years, will be consigned to the history books when the last scheduled Manx flight touches down at Ronaldsway on 31 August. The airline is being swallowed up by Birdseed Airways and to coincide with the last flight, Manx is planning a grand party for ex-members of staff. (Almost certainly with libations, three-legged races and fun for all). For details Manx exiles, "comeovers" et al should contact former Manx boss, Terry Liddiard (after 30 June) at: oldmoaney@advsys.co.uk
