Air Canada has confirmed plans for additional A320 family aircraft, with an order for two CFM International CFM56-powered 112-seat A319s and 12 160-seat A321s. The latter is the airline's first order for the larger Airbus model. Deliveries of the A321s will take place between October 2001 and December 2002, while the A319s will arrive between July and October 2002. American Trans Air has signed a lease deal with International Lease Finance for 14 new Boeing 737-800s. The aircraft will be delivered between May 2001 and May 2004 on 15 year leases. Varig is leasing two Boeing 727-200 Adv freighters from Pegasus Aviation, to operate on domestic postal services. Finnair has completed the three year sale and lease back of three Boeing MD-80s with two US firms for €41.2 million ($47.4 million) - two to PacificLifeCorp and one to Pacific Coast Group.
