SAFE HANDS

Arinc Direct (stand C628) is showing its newly launched safety management system designed to help aircraft operators manage risk and promote the development of an internal safety culture. Features include tools that are integrated with Arinc flight planning and weather information functions that customers can use to carry out risk assessments. Arinc Direct, the business aviation services arm of Annapolis, Maryland-based Arinc, is also highlighting its new role as an Inmarsat distribution partner, selling high-speed SwiftBroadband service to business aviation operators.


SABENA SPARES DEAL

Airbus Corporate Jet Centre (ACJC) has signed a co-operation agreement with Sabena Technics to offer Airbus Corporate Jet customers airframe spare parts support for a fixed monthly rate. "This co-operation agreement is a fundamental element that completes our VIP Pass offer and gives our customers access to a complete spare parts support range," says Fabio Beretta, ACJC's head of customer support and services. "They can choose their own customised package of services," he adds.


ECFT ADDS 604 SIM

Emirates-CAE Flight Training (ECFT) is to add a CAE 7000 series Level D full-flight simulator for the Bombardier Challenger 604, taking the number of sales in CAE's 2011 fiscal year to 17. The 604 simulator will be ready for training in the first half of 2012. "Business aircraft fleets and crew needs are expected to double over the next five years in the Middle East and neighbouring regions," says Camille Mariamo, managing director, Emirates-CAE Flight Training.


NEXUS TAKES AIMS

AIMS (stand E103) has been selected by Bahrain-based Nexus to supply its crew management, operations control, flight sales and quotations and crew web access module suite for its flight operations centre. The deal was signed during the show by Andrew Linthwaite, head of business aviation for airline information management system-provider AIMS, with Nexus chief executive Abdullah Al-Sayed.
