OnAir continues to expand its network of completion centres with the addition of Boeing Business Jet (BBJ) specialist PATS Aircraft Systems. The first joint project will be the installation of Mobile OnAir on a 737-900ER BBJ, due for delivery in the first half of 2013.
"We aim to choose those with particular expertise and skills to suit the needs of this market; in this case, PATS Aircraft Systems is one of a handful of designated BBJ service centres," says Ian Dawkins, CEO of OnAir. "As you'd expect, the VIP market is an early adopter of in-flight connectivity: business never stops, so VIPs have to remain in touch at all times, including during flights."
John Eichten, senior vice-president for sales and marketing at PATS Aircraft Systems, adds: "We are seeing a high demand from VIP jet operators for in-flight connectivity."
