Flight simulation training device manufacturer Mechtronix Systems has been contracted to supply an FFT X simulator for the world's second-largest operator of Cessna Caravans, Susi Air of Indonesia.
The new simulator will be delivered to Susi Air's Pangandaran flight training facility in the fourth quarter of this year. It will be the operator's first simulator and the first representing the Cessna Grand Caravan in the Asia-Pacific region.
Susi Air flies the region's largest fleet of Cessna 208 Caravans, with 23 in operation and 17 more on order, along with five Pilatus RC-6s, three Piaggio Avanti IIs and two AgustaWestland helicopters. Susi Air, which started in 2004 serving the local fishing industry in western Indonesia, operates scheduled flights and charters throughout the country.
