Signature Flight Support has unveiled at the show a new website featuring a range of online tools for pilots, as well as a custom fuel price calculator.
"With a new look and easy to find resources, pilots, schedulers and dispatchers can quickly locate the information needed to plan a flight," says Patrick Sniffen, vice-president marketing for Signature Flight Support, the world's largest fixed-base operation.
The site features a search tool and uses Microsoft's Bing mapping tool to enable the user to locate and obtain directions to any of Signature's 102 locations, and identify nearby amenities such as hotels, restaurants and attractions.
The site also has a fuel pricing calculator for pilots and flight planners to determine the fuel price for a particular airport, aircraft and uplift amount. "You simply search for the airport you'd like, input your aircraft make and model and your uplift amount and your tiered pricing is displayed," says Sniffen.
Signature also says its London Gatwick FBO has been renovated with two VIP lounges and a crew lounge added. Signature Gatwick has also recently added a service for VIP passengers transiting to and from the commercial terminal. With advance notice, Signature can arrange for passenger pick-up at the commercial aircraft and transit to the FBO, where the customer can clear customs and immigration.
