Rockwell Collins (Booth 259) is keen to show visitors its Pro Line 21 and new Pro Line Fusion avionics systems on the back of a major contract win announced on the eve of the show.
The company has announced today [Sunday] that Hawker Beechcraft’s new light jet, the Hawker 450XP, will feature its Pro Line 21 avionics as well as Rockwell Collins’ Venue high-definition cabin management system. First deliveries of the new aircraft equipped with Pro Line 21 and Venue are expected to begin in 2010.
Greg Irmen, vice president and general manager, business and regional systems for Rockwell Collins, says: “We’re thrilled to continue our tradition of providing the Hawker Beechcraft family our proven Pro Line 21 avionics with solid reliability, flexibility and efficiency.”
The standard features of Pro Line 21 on the Hawker 450XP include three 8in x 10in active matrix liquid crystal displays (LCDs); dual FMS-6000 flight management systems with localiser precision with vertical guidance (LPV) approach capability; an integrated flight information system (IFIS) with electronic charts and enhanced map overlays.
This system is fully integrated with the FMS to provide information such as geo-referenced aircraft position overlaid on electronic charts and airport diagrams.
The Pro Line 21 package will include GPS-4000S, a wide area augmentation system (WAAS)-enabled navigation system that allows operators to utilise GPS as primary means of navigation and TSS-4100 integrated traffic surveillance system, which combines the traffic alert and collision avoidance system (TCAS II) and Mode S transponder functions, as well as ADS-B applications, in a single unit.
Rockwell Collins Pro Line 21 is also featured on Hawker Beechcraft’s Hawker 900XP, Hawker 750, Beechcraft Premier IA, the complete King Air line-up (including the C90GTi, B200GT and 350) and the new Beechcraft Premier II.
The Rockwell Collins’ exhibit also features its Pro Line Fusion system, which builds on the success of Pro Line 21.
Irmen says: “The Pro Line Fusion avionics system is scaleable across the business jet spectrum. We are market leaders in head-up guidance and can scale praline Fusion up or down depending upon the customer’s needs.”
The Pro Line Fusion system’s high-resolution 15-inch diagonal LCD displays works with Rockwell Collins head-up guidance systems (HGS) and can also include graphical flight planning, synthetic and enhanced vision and the company’s MultiScan weather radar.
