Fractional ownership and charter firm NetJets has opened a private terminal at Palm Beach International airport (PBI) in Florida, which will cater exclusively for NetJets and sister company Executive Jet Management's customers. The 930m2 (10,000ft2) facility was developed in partnership with Signature Flight Support, which operates the world's largest fixed-base operation network.
PBI is one of NetJets’ most popular domestic destinations, with more than 10,000 NetJets flights arriving at and departing from the airport annually, the Columbus, Ohio-based company says.
The PBI FBO is NetJets' sixth dedicated passenger and aircraft handling facility. The site joins FBOs at airports across the US, including Van Nuys, California, DeKalb Peachtree, Atlanta, Westchester County in White Plains, New York and Port Columbus in Ohio.
The facility offers amenities including a conference and business centre, flight planning facilities, a crew lounge, approximately 2ha (6 acres) of paved ramp and a car parking area.
