Night challenge

On 16 May the European Court of Human Rights will start to hear the case for a total ban on night flights at London Heathrow. Campaigning group HACAN ClearSkies says: "The [UK] Government will need to persuade the court that the 15 flights which arrive at Heathrow on a typical night are of such importance to the UK economy that this outweighs all other considerations."
