Nostromo Defensa of Argentina is planning to a fly its developmental Yagua small unmanned air vehicle for the first time early in 2008 with wing designs undergoing initial testing on surrogate airframes in recent months. The new UAV is being purpose-developed for special force operations in high-altitude terrain and is expected to have an endurance of 16h using an internal combustion engine. Mock-ups were unveiled at the DSEi exhibition in London.
