The US National Transportation Safety Board (NTSB) has yet to determine what caused two non-fatal helicopter crashes within days of each other in New York. On 14 June a Bell 206L taking off from Wall Street heliport on a sightseeing trip crashed into the East River, badly injuring one of seven occupants. On 17 June a Sikorsky S-76C owned by MBNA crashed into the East River after leaving the 34th Street heliport, injuring one of eight occupants.
