Consultancy Deloitte & Touche has advised Olympic Airways to accept an offer from fast food chain Everest for the carrier's Olympic Catering subsidiary. Negotiations are expected to start soon.

Everest wants a 51-69% stake in collaboration with Lufthansa subsidiary LSG Sky Chefs. The partners have agreed that, after the takeover, Everest will run the ground side of catering, while LSG Sky Chefs will be responsible for in-flight catering.

If negotiations with Everest fail, Olympic will turn to fast-food chain Grigoris Mikrogevmata, in co-operation with the Veroukas group, which owns a Greek supermarket chain.
