Middle Eastern carrier Oman Air has appointed Darwish bin Ismail Al Balushi as its acting chief executive following last week’s sudden death of Ziad Al-Haremi.
Al Balushi, the under-secretary at the Omani ministry of finance, was named as a member of the airline’s executive committee last year.
Oman Air has publicly identified him today as Al-Haremi’s immediate successor and says he will head the Muscat-based flag-carrier until further notice.
