Oxford Aviation Academy (OAA) has acquired a new Airbus A320 full flight simulator (FFS) from Sim Industries.
The simulator will be based at OAA's Stockholm Training Facility at Arlanda Airport, Sweden.
It features an RSI Raster XT visual image generator with LCoS projectors, said OAA in a statement.
The device, which is due to be delivered in March, will be qualified to JAR FSTD A level D and fully operational by mid-May.
The first customers to benefit from the arrival of the new simulator will be SAS and Thomas Cook as well as Russian carrier Rossiya Airlines, added OAA.
The new A320 simulator is the first of two due to be delivered to OAA by Sim Industries in 2012. The second device, a Boeing 737NG FFS, will be based at OAA's Oslo Training Centre and is expected to be ready for training in September in support of long-term OAA group customer Norwegian.
