Qatar Airways has selected International Aero Engines V2500 engines to power 24 Airbus A320 family aircraft that the carrier today ordered at the show.
The order is split between 20 A320s and four A321s.
Qatar currently operates 19 V2500-powered A320s.
"We have a reputation for selecting only the best for our airline and we know from experience that the V2500 is the superior technology for the A320 engine family," says Qatar's chief executive Akbar Al Baker.
Deliveries of the new aircraft start with the first A321 in November and continue through the end of 2012.
