Pilatus's Franz Odermatt hands over Susi Air's third PC-6 Porter yesterday to airline founder Susi Pudjiastuti. The type - at 50 years old is half the age of the air show - joins two PC-6s in service with the Indonesian charter operator and will be used for cargo and passengers. A fourth will be delivered in October. Susi Air general manager Christian von Strombeck says the PC-6's short take-off and landing capability, plus the fact that it can be coverted from passenger to cargo configuration in 5min, makes it ideal. Susi Air has already signed for a Piaggio P180 Avanti II at the show.
