Boeing's 747-8F has arrived at Paris after completing the first transatlantic flight of a large commercial jetliner with all engines powered by sustainable aviation jet fuel.
The aircraft landed at Le Bourget at 17:35 local time, piloted by Captains Keith Otsuka and Rick Braun and Cargolux Captain Sten Rossby. Cargolux is the launch customer for the aircraft.
All four of the aircraft's GEnx-2B engines were powered by a blend of 15% camelina-based biofuel mixed with 85% traditional kerosene Jet A fuel.
The aircraft is scheduled to depart Le Bourget on the evening of 22 June following two days of static display and fly to Cargolux's Luxembourg headquarters for a two-day visit.
