Qatar Airways is announcing major orders for up to 30 aircraft including Airbus A330s, A340-500/600s, and Boeing 777-300ERs ahead of next week's delivery of a VIP-configured A340-500 to be operated on behalf of the Qatar government. It will be fitted out by EADS Sogerma before entering service next year.
