Showcasing its second Airbus A380 at the Paris air show, Korean Air said it is seeking to bring business-class luxury to commercial passengers.
Configured in a three-class layout with just 407 seats - the lowest configuration of any A380 operator - Korean offers unique features including a "duty free showcase" offering a variety of products such as cosmetics, perfumes and liquor.
The double-decker aircraft also offers a sleek onboard bar and lounge area where first-class and business-class passengers can sample an array of cocktails, including six exclusive drinks created specifically for the carrier by vodka maker Absolut.
Korean will have taken delivery of four A380s by the end of the year. The carrier is initially operating the jetliners from Seoul to destinations in Asia, but will follow up with non-stop long-haul services to North America and Europe.
