David Spurlock, director of strategy at British Airways, has resigned. One of the architects of the airline's policy of reducing overall capacity while targeting an increase in business class, Spurlock will be replaced by Roger Maynard, the director of alliances, investments and joint ventures. Sergio Vetrella, currently president of Italian aerospace research group CIRA, has been appointed to replace Sergio De Julio as president of the Italian space agency ASI. The Serbian Government has appointed Predrag Vujovic as general manager of JAT Yugoslav Airlines, replacing Dusan Kostic who had been doing the job in a temporary capacity. Vujovic worked for JAT until 1991, representing the airline overseas, and finally becoming commercial manager before leaving to start his own travel company in Germany. Brad Hatt, former vice-president global general aviation sales, has been named acting vice- president of aircraft business at Raytheon Aircraft, replacing Richard Danforth. Ed Dolanski becomes vice president of the company's customer support division, replacing John Ferney who has retired, while Doug Debrecht replaces Dolanski as acting vice president and chief information officer. Goodrich has appointed Brian Gora as president of landing gear systems and Theunis Botha as vice-president and general manager of its landing systems services division. Gora was previously vice-president and general manager of the division, while Botha was formerly vice- president and general manager of Goodrich's turbine component services division. George Gonzalez will head Bombardier's new business aviation services division, which combines customer support functions with the aviation services centre network to provide a turnkey service capability. Gonzalez joined Bombardier in March as vice-president of Bombardier business aircraft services after management positions with DHL Worldwide Express.
