David Cote has been appointed chief executive (CEO) of aerospace, IT and automotive giant TRW, based in Cleveland, Ohio. Cote succeeds Joseph Gorman (who remains as chairman). He was previously president and chief operating officer, having joined TRW from General Electric in 1999. Belgium's CityBird has named Didier Pereaux as chief financial officer (CFO). He replaces Frederic Sohet, now general manager. British Airways franchisee British Mediterranean Airways has appointed Ian Frost as flight operations director. He was previously flight operations manager. E-marketplace Exostar, owned by Boeing, Lockheed Martin, BAE Systems and Raytheon, has appointed Ken Possenriede as chief financial officer, Ludo Van Vooren as vice president (VP) communications and Barry Lerner as VP government sales. Continental Airlines has named Jim Compton senior VP, pricing and revenue management, and Glen Hauensten senior VP, scheduling. BFGoodrich has appointed Errol Farr military and government account manager for its Avionics and Lighting Systems division. Hans-Heinrich Peters has been named VP, supplier development, by Fairchild Dornier, while Tobias Buck becomes director, general purchasing and e-procurement.
