Atlas Air has named Jeffrey Erickson, former president of Reno Air and Midway Airlines, as its new president and chief operating officer. He replaces Jim Matheny, who is retiring. Raytheon has restructured its government and defence operations into seven new divisions. President of integrated defense systems is Ed Franklin; intelligence and information systems is headed by Mike Keebaugh; Louise Francesconi is president of missile systems; network centric systems is the responsibility of Colin Schottlaender; space and airborne systems president is Jack Kelble; Raytheon Technical Services Company is headed by Bryan Even; and Hugo Poza is president of homeland security. Boeing has appointed Greg Pepin as president of Boeing Turkey, responsible for local strategy and communications. Pratt &Whitney has named Jason Chamberlain vice-president mobility and surveillance systems. Chamberlain, who was formerly programme director for airlift and mature engine programmes, will be responsible for engines on transports, tankers and surveillance aircraft. Air New Zealand's senior vice-president operations & technical Bill Jacobson will leave the airline in late October. His position will be filled by the newly appointed chief information officer, Craig Sinclair, who joined recently from the Airways Corporation of New Zealand. Keith Martinich, vice-president sales and marketing at Aviation General, has been appointed chief executive of its jet services subsidiary Strategic Jet Services, replacing John de Havilland, who will become chairman. Mike Humphreys, who since January has been acting chief executive of FLS Aerospace, has been confirmed as president and chief executive of the company. Ulrich Schulte-Strathaus, vice-president international relations at Lufthansa, has been appointed secretary general of the Association of European Airlines. He will succeed Karl-Heinz Neumeister. MTU Maintenance Canada has appointed Rainer Schwartz as chief executive, replacing Michael von Gizycki. n The Irish Aviation Authority has appointed its commercial director Eamonn Brennan to succeed Brian McDonnell as chief executive. McDonnell will retire at the end of the year. n Polly Prelinger has moved to Saab Aircraft Leasing as VP airlines sales. Prelinger was formerly senior VP aircraft marketing at Jetfleet Management.
