Texas-based helicopter transport services company Bristow Group (formerly Offshore Logistics, OLOG) has unveiled the first Sikorsky S-76 painted in the colours of US new subsidiary Air Logistics (N870AL, pictured below).
The company revealed the new livery as part of a presentation of its new corporate identity. The company saw the OLOG name tarnished by a financial scandal that saw the company forced to re-state its financial results for last year and led to the resignation of its former chief financial officer and the sacking of the company’s executive vice-president for North America. The company concluded an internal review into its ethics, following a series of recent corruption scandals in big business in the USA in recent years.
The company's new management decided to re-brand to draw a line under the ethics questions and adopt the name of former UK OLOG subsidiary Bristow Helicopters for the parent group. The brand Air Logistics will continue to survive in the Americas, where it will be placed next to the Bristow group logo on helicopters. The Bristow name will take precedence elsewhere in the world.
