One of three BAe 146s for South African regional Air Link has been prepared for delivery by Chevron Technical Services based at Kemble airfield in the UK.

The airline is taking three BAe 146-200s on lease from the manufacturer - two ex-Flybe jets and one ex-CityJet aircraft.

The first 146 is set for delivery this month, with the other two following in May. Air Link says that one of the 89-seaters will replace a wet-leased Boeing 737-200, another will operate as a back-up and the third will replace Embraer ERJ-135 capacity in existing markets.
