Waterkloof air base, outside Pretoria, is to be the venue for a new, more comprehensive South African air show next year.

Aerospace Africa '98 will run trade days from 28-30 April, with the public being allowed in on 1-2 May.

The event brings together the Commercial Aviation Association of Southern Africa, which has organised Aviation Africa for 22 years, and AMD (the South African Aerospace, Maritime and Defence Association), which organised the SAAF '75 celebrations.

The event will include a flying display and air show, attractions missing from Aviation Africa in recent years.

Aerospace Africa '98 organiser Lynn Browne can be contacted at Le Bourget through either the Denel or USA Global Tradeshow stands.
