Jet Aviation is launching a challenge to the increasingly popular concept of fractional ownership with the introduction of its new Private Fleet charter programme.

Thomas Hirschmann, Jet Aviation chairman and CEO, who flew into Dubai last night, says the new programme - offered by Jet Aviation in both the US and Europe - will be the preferred transportation alternative for the new millennium.

"Businesses that are attracted to the benefits of fractional aircraft ownership will find the new private fleet charter service has even greater appeal because it is more cost effective and offers greater flexibility," says Hirschmann. "Our private fleet comprises top-notch, newly-outfitted aircraft. There are no up-front costs, capital investments or on-going management contracts, and our Private Fleet business jet transportation is available on demand without the need to fly a fixed number of flight hours annually."

Jet Aviation claims the programme includes every advantage of shared aircraft ownership at a fraction of the cost. The Swiss-based company's customers will have 24-hour access to a custom fleet of Gulfstream and other wide-body aircraft that are owned, operated, and maintained by Jet Aviation at its FOB sites around the world.

One of Jet Aviation's Private Fleet Gulfstream GIIIs will be available for viewing on static display at the show. "We believe that there are many potential customers in this region who will fly commercially from the Middle East to Europe or the United States and then charter these aircraft," a spokesman for Jet Aviation says.
