Qantas Airways and Tiger Airways Australia have suspended some Australian domestic services today due to an ash cloud from a volcanic eruption in Chile.
Airservices Australia, the national air traffic management agency, said that the ash from Chile's Puyehue-Cordon Caulle volcano will affect flights to and from Melbourne, Sydney and Canberra airports over the next few days.
Australia's national carrier Qantas suspended several services out of Adelaide and Port Lincoln, while Tiger has suspended Adelaide-Melbourne and Melbourne-Sydney flights. Virgin Australia will also suspend its services into and out of Adelaide and Mildura on Tuesday.
