Rolls-Royce is the first UK company to be accredited to the European Joint Aviation Authorities (JAA) JAR21 Engineering and Design standard. The Approval Certificate was received on Thursday at Farnborough.
The approval follows a rigorous assessment over the last 18 months by the UK Civil Aviation Authority in conjunction with the JAA. It gives international recognition across the 27 JAA member countries for Rolls-Royce Aerospace.
