Rafael Armament Development Authority is highlighting its SkyLite B mini-UAV. The new version features a range of over 35km, flight endurance of up to 3hr and a secure digital data link.

This pint-size UAV is man-portable as the basic airframe weighs only 14lb (6.5kg) and even has combat experience.  The standard SkyLite B uses an analogue video link with a flight endurance of 90 minutes and a combat radius of up to 10km. By adding a more powerful battery and extended wing tips, the new SkyLite B configuration can fly for up to three hours. Because it uses the same airframe it gives operators the choice of capability.  Adding the extra capability only adds an extra 4lb (1.5kg) to the original weight.

The SkyLite B will participate in the upcoming Israel Defense Forces Ground Forces Command tender for a mini-UAV for its infantry. Rafael has won contracts for the SkyLite B system from several customers both in Israel and abroad.
