Renowned UK aerobatic pilot Ray Hanna AFC has died, aged 77. Hanna joined the Royal Air Force in 1949 and was a founder member of the Red Arrows display team in 1965. After retiring from the RAF in 1971, Hanna began a civil career flying Boeing 707s and later Lockheed TriStars. He went on to create Duxford airfield-based Old Flying Machine Company, operating a warbird collection, with son Mark, who was also an RAF pilot, but was killed displaying a Hispano Buchon (Spanish Messerschmitt Me109) in 1999.
