BAE Systems Avro RJX-85 (G-ORJX) flew to Toluca Airport, Mexico, on 8 November to conduct the latest phase of the Honeywell AS977-powered aircraft's flight test programme. Toluca is the base for the two-week high elevation performance and systems trials for the aircraft due to the airport's location, 8,450ft (2,580m) above sea level and its 4,200m (13,780ft) runway. Meanwhile, the second aircraft in the flight test programme, an RJX-100 (G-IRJX), flew into London City Airport earlier this month to conduct flight tests at the Dockland airport's short 1,199m (3,930ft) runway and steep 5.5í approach.
