Ryanair is to open 12 new routes from London Stansted in April 2014.
As part of its expansion at Stansted – where it aims to boost passenger numbers by 1.3 million per year – the Irish budget carrier will fly 28 times per week to Lisbon; 14 times per week to Basel, Bucharest, Dortmund and Prague; six times per week to Bordeaux and Moroccan capital Rabat; and four times per week to Brive in France, Osijek in Croatia, Montenegro's capital Podgorica and Skelleftea, Sweden.
The schedule additions brings Ryanair's Stansted route total to 126, and airline is also adding frequencies across 17 existing routes, boosting the number of weekly flights thereon from 430 to 600 .
In September, Ryanair struck a 10-year growth deal with Stansted operator Manchester Airports Group, which offered what the airline terms "a package of lower costs and more efficient facilities".
A quarter of the growth Ryanair targets for the five years to 2019 will flow from the Stansted agreement, the airline expects.
