The MRJ90 that Mitsubishi brought to the Farnborough air show will resume flight demonstrations today, taking off at 15:12 local time, FlightGlobal understands.
Yesterday, the Japanese airframer disclosed that FTA-3 (JA23MJ) had sustained damage to its radome as it was being pushed back to the static line the previous day, after its debut flight demonstration. Yesterday's planned demo was suspended.
Alex Bellamy, chief development officer and head of the programme management division for Mitsubishi Aircraft, told FlightGlobal that the damage had been caused by the local ground-handling company.
Mitsubishi was however unable to provide further details of the damage, but says it has replaced FTA-3's radome with FTA-2's, which was shipped to Farnborough from the aiframer's test base at Moses Lake in the US state of Washington.
