China Airlines' holding company, China Aviation Development Foundation (CADF), is to sell 16 per cent of its 82 per cent stake in the Taiwanese flag to help finance new aircraft and boost the carrier's paid-up capital.

Meanwhile, TransAsia Airways is to delay its planned IPO on Taipei's stock exchange from the second half of this year to early 1997, ostensibly to allow time for completing documents.
