The Society of British Aerospace Companies (SBAC) is launching an initiative to boost competitiveness for UK aerospace companies through improvements in supply chain efficiency. BAE Systems is funding work by management consultancy McKinsey that will form the basis of the programme, along with data the SBAC has already gathered on productivity and profitability trends throughout the supply chain. The initial research will allow the SBAC to set out a two- to three-year programme to “enhance supply chain effectiveness and hence company competitiveness”.
