Recovery personnel have located a second flight recorder from the ACT Airlines Boeing 747-400F which crashed near Bishkek.
The Kyrgyzstan government has disclosed the finding, without clarifying the type of recorder retrieved.
It states that the teams probing the crash site, about 1km to the west of Manas airport, had already found one recorder on 16 January, the date of the accident.
Interstate Aviation Committee investigators are shortly due to carry out analysis of the recorders’ content, the government adds. It has not indicated the condition of either device.
Kyrgyzstan’s government has listed at least 37 fatalities from the accident, which demolished 17 houses when the jet came down in a residential area.
