Shanghai Airport Authority and Hawker Pacific joint venture, Shanghai Hawker Pacific Business Aviation Service Centre (SHPBAS), reported 43% year-on-year growth in airport traffic for August 2012.
The company provides fixed-based operation and MRO services at Hongqiao International Airport as well as flight and ground handling services at Pudong International Airport.
Business aviation at Hongqiao and Pudong grew by 58% and by 25% respectively in August compared with last year.
Overall traffic for 2012, calculated by taking the average of growth at both airports, rose by 24% compared with 2011, SHPBAS said in statement.
The centre expects aircraft movements at both airports to exceed 4,000 by the end of 2012, up from 3,400 in 2011.
