The latest image from NASA's Hubble Space Telescope shows the IC 2944 Thackery star-forming region of dense, opaque dust "globules", with the largest around 1.4 light years across. It can be seen silhouetted against nearby bright stars. The STS 109 Columbia Space Shuttle mission to service the telescope has been delayed until 28 February.
